The People: Alisha

What is your role at Re:Fuel?

I’m Re:Fuel’s Stock and Production Coordinator. My job is to make sure we always have enough stock and to produce more when needed. I also pack and ship all orders to customers which are related to Moonshine. Which if you don’t know is an incredible sustainable car detailing company. I also produce all Air-ly products and ship them out to our customers.

How did you get involved with Re:Fuel?

After relocation to Devon from Somerset I had to leave my old job and soon after I moved I became aware of this job opportunity through my work coach. I had never heard of Re:Fuel before and wasn’t quite sure what to expect but I soon became enticed after hearing the job specifications and after going to some car events in the past I was very interested and wanted to get involved.

What’s your favourite thing about Re:Fuel?

My favourite thing about Re:Fuel is that everyone is so friendly and down to earth which makes it an amazing atmosphere to work in. Also, the fact that there aren’t many car events, especially those that run all year round whatever the weather! We always find a way to make the events fun and exciting to attend. Many events are mostly just directed at a specific group of car enthusiasts whereas at Re:Fuel we have great diversity which also does include motorbikes!

What were you doing before Re:Fuel?

Before Re:Fuel I attended college where I was studying for a Level 3 diploma in Music Technology but soon after this unfortunately COVID came along. Then I got a job at Toolstation in Somerset where I got to meet some great people but had to leave due to relocation to Devon.

Tell us about your home life!

I live in Tiverton with my dad. It’s very peaceful but that’s what I’ve always been used to as I have no siblings. I usually split my time between Taunton and Tiverton on the weekends to see my boyfriend.

What do you do when you aren’t working?

I usually spend 90% of my time listening to music as it’s a passion of mine. If I’m not doing that I love to be outside and enjoy the sunshine as I love nature and trying new activities. I also have a shopping addiction.

What’s your favourite drive?

My favourite drive has to be around Cornwall as my mum and I used to go on holiday there a lot there when I was younger. I really want to go on a drive around the Lake District though.

If you could go anywhere, where would it be?

I have always wanted to go to New York at Christmas time when it is snowing.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently working on driving lessons and passing my test so commuting to places is so much easier than bus and train.
