Re:Fuel is the Southwest’s only dedicated cars and coffee venue. Located on J28 of the M5 in Devon, it’s THE place in the Southwest for petrolheads to meet, eat, drink, hang out, relax and enjoy. With our subtly automotive themed café, race sim centre and large “paddock” hard-standing parking area, Re:Fuel has a family-friendly, chilled and relaxed atmosphere – and no matter what you drive, everyone is welcome. But if that’s not enough to convince you to come along then here’s five reasons why you should pay us a visit this year!
1. The Variety of Cars

First and foremost here at Re:Fuel we are all petrolheads and we love everything and anything that has wheels, all makes and model vehicles are welcome in our paddock. Our favourite days are always the ones when we have a number of cars representing different car communities all lined up alongside one another in the paddock from completely original classics to highly modified JDM icons, we bring petrolheads of all varieties together. Half the fun of coming along to a Re:Fuel meet is not knowing what rare or unusual rides you will see in the paddock. Even though we host a number of specialised events (which we’ll come onto in more detail later in the blog) if you don’t drive a vehicle that suits a day’s specific theme, you’re still more than welcome to join us for the day to admire all the lovely machines that have turned up to meet, eat, drink, hang out, relax and enjoy Re:Fuel. On the second Sunday of every month we also host where a Re:Fuel open day in partnership with Takona where there is specifically no theme so all makes and models of vehicles are welcome.
2. The Best Breakfast in Devon

The Steamer Coffee House & Kitchen at Re:Fuel is a warm, welcoming artisan coffee house and restaurant specialising in serving exceptional coffee and teas alongside high quality and locally-sourced eats. Last year the Steamer Coffee House & Kitchen was awarded with the honour of being crowned ‘Devon’s Best Breakfast’ by Devon Live following on from a public vote across the county which consisted of over 8,000 votes. This isn’t the Steamer’s only accolade, with the café also boasting a number of other awards, including : Taste of The West Gold 2024, Food and Drink Devon Gold and Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice 2024. So when you come to one of our theme days make sure to book a table and try Devon’s best breakfast for yourself.
3. Photogenic backdrops

As any petrolhead will agree, we all love taking photos of cool cars and bikes especially our own! Being based in the Devon countryside we already have the naturally beautiful backdrops of open fields behind the paddock however this wasn’t quite good enough for us. As part of our partnership with Falken Tyres as the official Re:Fuel venue sponsor we decided to create the perfect automotive backdrop for the paddock, our highly popular ‘Falken Wall’! The Falken Wall provides a brilliant backdrop for photos of your pride and joy, park up in front of it and take some snaps of your ride to post on Instagram, make sure to tag both us and use #FalkenWall.
4. Home to Devon’s State-of-the-art Racing Simulation Experience

The Apex Race Centre has been based here at Re:Fuel since the opening of our new venue in 2022, providing the Southwest with its premier motorsport sim racing centre. Apex Race Centre stands as a unique destination for racing enthusiasts. You can race head-to-head with friends on the track, equipped with the same cutting-edge gear used by professional drivers. Apex’s Virtual Race Marshals ensure you’re fully inducted and ready for an exhilarating race day experience. With race sessions starting from as little as £15 why not channel your inner race car driver when you next visit Re:Fuel?
5. Specialised Events

Thanks to being the Southwest’s only dedicated cars and coffee venue we are open hosting events all year round, every Saturday and Sunday, no matter the weather we will always be here. From hosting dedicated manufacturer days such as our hugely popular ‘Ford Fest’ to dedicated nation days including ‘Italian Stallions’ Not only do we host your ‘traditional’ car meets, but we also host a variety of unique and exciting automotive themed events, most notably our regular ‘Vintage Cars for Young Drivers Day in partnership with Devon Sevens’, a one-of-a-kind event providing younger generations of petrolheads with hands-on activities teaching them how to keep vintage cars on the road, you can find out more information about this day by clicking here.
