Re:Fuel E-Sports Pilot

This month as part of our second Re:Fuel Digital Open Day, we thought we’d shake things up a bit and try to get you guys even more involved than before! In addition to our YouTube Live video at 11am this Sunday 17th May, we’re excited to announce that in the evening we’ll be sitting down to play some Forza Motorsport 7 and inviting you guys and girls to join the grid and take part!

In a recent poll we conducted on Instagram, we saw an overwhelming response from people wanting us to give this a try. So we thought we’d give it a go and see what happens.

The following will be taking place on Sunday the 17th May, from 6pm onwards….

Event 1

To get our eyes in, we’ll do a couple of practice races around Brands Hatch, using Formula Mazdas, and also at the Top Gear Test Track, where we’ll be using some Mini GP2s. Light, nimble and grippy, these two pocket rockets are serious amounts of fun.

Event 2

We’ll then transfer to the Re:Fuel E-Sports Track Day Playlist, consisting of 6 races in total, each being a different track and vehicle combination. It could be NASCAR’s at Daytona or F1 cars at Spa Francorchamps – we’ll be keeping the full track list a secret until the day – but rest assured the racing will be both challenging and entertaining!

Event 3

We’ll round things off with a mini-endurance race event. It should last approximately 35-40 mins and take place at Silverstone GP Circuit. The car division will be set to Forza GT cars and the winner shall receive a Re:Fuel T-Shirt worth £18.

If you want to be a part of Sunday’s grid, please get yourself a your race pass here. A place on the grid for all nine races will cost you only £5 and there are just 21 spots available, so be quick!

Furthermore, the whole thing will be streamed live on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/resportssw). So if you’d prefer to sit back and watch the carnage unfold, don’t be afraid to tune in and hang out with other like minded individuals in the chat.

Should this event be a success, we’ll be doing more online gaming activities; including more structured racing and free roam activities.

If you want to get a head start, follow us on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/resportssw) so you’ll be notified when things kick off. The cool thing about Twitch is that it works on both desktop and mobile devices; making it easier to tune in wherever you are.

We’re looking forward to seeing what happens, but rest assured it will be a lot of fun!

Don’t forget to head to Our Ticketing Page to get your race pass if you’d like to be on the grid!
