Firstly, from all the team here at Re:Fuel, we would like to say a huge thank you to you guys, our supporters. Like many others, we are finding this a strange and challenging time but it is your enthusiasm and support that keeps “Re:Fueling” our motivation. As we’re sure you are aware, all upcoming events for many industries have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, sadly this includes Re:Fuel’s upcoming open days until further notice.
However, if you’ve been to a Re:Fuel open day, you’ll know that our whole vision for Re:Fuel is driven not only by our passion to build it, but also your passion to be there visiting Re:Fuel and enjoying it. Well, a virus isn’t going to kill that passion, that’s for sure! In fact, whilst we’re all cooped up in our houses dreaming of when we can get out in our cars again, we believe the spirit of Re:Fuel is needed now more than ever. So, we’re sorry that we’ve been a bit quiet recently but, you see, there are plans afoot! The team here at Re:Fuel have been working on ways to still bring the Southwest community together for some automotive-themed amusement, but in the comfort of your own home. We’re also using it an opportunity, considering these challenging times, to give some free exposure and support to some of the local automotive business that we know and have worked with.
So fasten your imaginary seatbelts everyone. Coming to a device near you…. “Re:Fuel goes digital”.
Starting from 11am on Sunday 19th April (the day of our cancelled April Open Day), we’ll be releasing something special for you that can be enjoyed by all, whether you follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube or our mailing list.
The fun will include a silent auction with ALL the profits going to support NHS workers through the dedicated “NHS Charities Together” fund, an online “treasure hunt” game we’ve devised especially for you, and a Q&A with the Re:Fuel team. If that isn’t enough to rev you up, we also have some surprise guests joining us for a chat too!
So tune in from your homes on Sunday 19th. If you want to let us know you’ll be watching, you can RSVP at our Facebook event here.
Naturally, we are so sorry to not be able to see you all in person, but we are very much looking forward to keeping you entertained during the “lockdown” and continuing to bring us all together as one big community.
Finally, we’d like to join the rest of the nation and say an enormous and extremely heartfelt thank you to ALL of the key workers keeping the country going in such uncertain times. We could not be prouder or more grateful for such a fantastic workforce.
Hoping you can all join us next Sunday. Keep an eye on our social media and your inbox over the next week to find out how. Stay safe everyone.
